Page 6: the Celebration!

Let's backtrack a bit. Okay. We had the ceremony. Then yichud. Then the pictures on the bimah. During this time, our guests were drinking, and eating, and having a wonderful reception. This is still before the wedding banquet. This is what one of the tables looked like right before everyone came in. Notice the birkonim (little booklets for the Jewish grace after meals and wedding benedictions) and the cute little design on the front! They were designed by Kyra.
 

Everyone else is seated. the bandleader announces Mike and Kyra for the first time as husband and wife, and ZOOM! They run in! True, they're both wearing funky black sneakers, but that's okay. They start dancing to the first song of the afternoon -- "their" song -- "It's The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" by R.E.M.
 

... and then more dancing happens. Soon, before everyone realizes it, it turns into a hora. People put funny hats on Kyra and Mike, and ten they eventually lift us in the air on chairs, a Jewish custom which pre-dates the existence of the ski-lift. This is also a great shot of the kippot (head coverings) we bought for all of the guests (and for Mike).
 

Kyra and Mike have a table for two throughout the wedding banquet with cool, white puffy chairs!

Everyone danced the night away! It was great! Here we see Mike's grandfather, Dr. Louis Scheinberg, dancing up a storm!
 

Mike's grandparents, Herb (of Blessed Memory) and Malvina Frankel, shake it up a bit...

Sometime during the celebration, Steffi (Kyra's best woman) and Joseph (Mike's best man) got up on the front stage to make their respective toasts. They were funny, cute, and loving.
 

Here's one of Betsy and Elissa, the moms of the bride and groom. They look happy. They probably were happy, in fact...

Here's a shot with some of Kyra's friends from Hanegev Region USY! Remember -- it's because of USY (indirectly, though) that Kyra and Mike met. In this picture, from left to right, we have Beth, Jeff, Kyra, Mike, Anne, Steffi and Glenn.

Anyhow, , the top row (left to right) is Rachel, Renee, Mike, Kyra, and Lis. Below is Steve and Jason.
